Mondak Animal Rescue Williston, ND: Support September Events and Help Animals in Need
Every day at Mondak Animal Rescue in Williston, animals in need find a glimmer of hope. The shelter is frequently contacted by kill pounds seeking space for abandoned dogs and cats. Each day, they handle a multitude of calls, messages, and emails from people looking to surrender their pets, with a waiting list now exceeding 480!
The work is relentless and challenging. Mondak Animal Rescue constantly battles against the tide, striving to stay afloat while making a real impact. They don’t just fight the challenges—they actively seek solutions:
- Spay and Neuter Vouchers: Offering discounts in collaboration with local vet clinics to help owners spay and neuter their pets.
- Food Bank: Providing dog and cat food assistance to families in need, ensuring pets remain well-fed during difficult times.
- Vaccination and Microchipping Clinics: Partnering with Dr. Hanson to offer essential vaccinations and microchipping services to protect pets in the community.
- Spay and Neuter Clinics: Holding clinics to reduce the number of unwanted animals whenever their vet’s schedule allows.
Every day, Mondak Animal Rescue cares for over 80 dogs and cats who rely on their support. This vital work is made possible through the generous support of the community.
September is a particularly exciting month for Mondak Animal Rescue. In just one week, they welcomed 25 new animals who will receive the care they need. Among them, 8 were owner surrenders, and 17 were rescued from kill pounds that still practice euthanasia.
