If you tune in to the Big Butt Morning Show on 96.1, you’ve probably heard me talk about the importance of adopting animals from local rescues. One rescue I often highlight on Whisker Wednesday is ARRR Rescue and Retirement Ranch of Williston. This incredible organization works tirelessly to prevent animal cruelty and find loving homes for their rescues.

ARRR Rescue and Retirement Ranch is a large animal sanctuary serving Williston, North Dakota, and the surrounding areas. As a sanctuary, they provide a safe, long-term home for many animals, often until the end of their lives. They also operate as a cat rescue, shelter, and adoption facility, keeping the number of animals small to ensure every one of them receives high-quality care.

This week, I want to introduce you to ARRR Rescue’s Cats of the Week – The Archangels!

Their names—Elijah, Raphael, Elieanora, Demitri, Mahiya, and Naasir—were inspired by the Guild Hunter Series books and suggested by a receptionist at Western Vet Clinic. Together, they’ve become known as The Archangels.

These resilient kittens arrived at ARRR on Halloween Eve, battling upper respiratory infections. Elijah had everyone especially worried, but against the odds, he pulled through like a true fighter.

At just 15 weeks old, these kittens have been tested for FIV/FeLV (all clear!), received their first vaccinations, and mastered litterbox training. Plus, they’re absolutely adorable and ready to fill your home with love.

For adoptions or donations, visit ARRR’s website.

ARRR operates with limited staff, and their ranch is located in northwest Williston, ND. Visits are by appointment only, arranged through their Facebook page. Your community support and donations mean the world to them and the animals they care for.

If you have room in your home and in your heart, consider adopting one of ARRR’s cats today!
