Mad Max’s Weekend in 5 Pics 8/25-8/27
Friday after work I went to the James Memorial Art Center to check out the August exhibits. "Made of Prairie" photo exhibit from Sabrina Ramey of Williston and "Celebrating the Essence" paintings by Morgan Wagner of Watford City. I love getting lost in art exhibits.
The August exhibits are open for a few more days and if you see something you really like, prints are available for purchase. (Prices are listed next to the prints.)
The Gallery at The James is open Monday-Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Friday Noon to 5:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm-5:00pm (September - April only). There are new exhibits each month. Be sure to sign the guest book!
Sabrina Ramey's photography really showcases the beauty in NW North Dakota. I like her experiments with vertical panorama.
Morgan's Wagner's paintings focus on the essence of what makes everyday subjects beautiful. She captures the light and shadows.
Saturday morning I went to the Main Street Market and bought some jelly and then I went to the Vendor Show at the Williston ARC and picked up a few early Christmas presents.
Saturday evening my mom and I went to Aafedt Stadium for the 54th Guns Vs Hoses ballgame. It was the last opportunity of the year to have a burger and potato salad at the ballpark. Virginia Collings makes the BEST potato salad!
