Williston, ND Animal Control Shares November Recap

Ever wonder what the Williston Police's Animal Control Department is up to? Their November report offers a closer look at their work to improve animal welfare in our city—and it’s clear they’ve been busy.

By the Numbers:

• 25 cats and 15 dogs were taken in last month.
• Animal Control officers responded to an impressive 202 calls for service—everything from stray animals to welfare checks.
• Two citations were issued for violations of local animal ordinances.

Making a Difference:
Some great news came out of their efforts: 5 cats and 8 dogs were reunited with their families, 1 animal was rescued, and 4 lucky pets found new forever homes through adoption.

What’s Left to Do:
While many animals found loving families, 20 cats and 7 dogs are still waiting at the pound for their forever homes. These pets need our community’s help to find a safe and caring place to call home.

• Ensure your pets are microchipped, licensed, and spayed or neutered to reduce overpopulation and make it easier to reunite lost pets with their families.
