Meet Duke, Scooter, and Kevin – Ready for Adoption in Williston, ND!

Looking to add a furry friend to your life? DukeScooter, and Kevin are still waiting for their forever homes, and they might just be the perfect match for you! These sweet pups were never claimed by their owners, which means they’re officially available for adoption through Williston Police Department Animal Control—and the best part? There’s no adoption fee!

How Adoption Works

When Animal Control picks up a stray, they have to hold onto them for at least five days to give owners a chance to claim them. If no one comes forward, the animal may go to a rescue or become available for public adoption.

Since most animals come in as strays, their history and behavior with people or other pets aren’t always known. If you run into any issues after adoption, reach out to Animal Control—they’ll help however they can!

Before applying, please review the guidelines.

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
