In previous years, the Williston Korner Lions engaged in fruit sales as a fundraising tradition. However, last year, they ventured into a new endeavor by organizing the Sink & Serve Cornhole Tournament, which turned out to be a tremendous success.

Encouraged by the positive response, they are thrilled to announce the second annual tournament, scheduled for Saturday, March 16th, at the Multi-Purpose Building in the Upper Missouri Valley Fairgrounds, located at 519 53rd St E, Williston.

For those unfamiliar with cornhole, it's a popular game where players take turns throwing bags filled with corn kernels at a raised platform with a hole in it. The objective is to land the bags on the board or, ideally, through the hole.

Registration for the Sink & Serve Cornhole Tournament kicks off Saturday, March 16th at 11:30 am/central time, with a $80 fee per two-person team—a tax-deductible donation benefiting the Williston Lions. The cornhole action commences at 12:30 pm/central time.

Participants can enjoy taco in a bag and refreshing beverages. Pre-registration is available, and walk-ins are welcome on the day of the event. The tournament eagerly welcomes both teams and sponsors.

The funds raised from the 2nd Annual Sink & Serve Cornhole Tournament play a crucial role in supporting the Lions' missions and their ongoing efforts to serve and uplift the community.

The Lions' motto, "We Serve," underscores their dedication to both global and local communities. The Williston Korner Lions, easily recognizable by their blue grill, actively contribute to community service by grilling sausage & pancakes, brats, and burgers.

Lions Club International, the oldest service organization in the United States, is deeply committed to five important causes: childhood cancer, diabetes, the environment, hunger, and vision.

Vision screening is a significant initiative undertaken by the Williston Korner Lions. They provide this essential service not only to the local community but also conduct screenings in schools across various towns, ensuring that students have access to vision assessments. Additionally, the Lions participate in city cleanup, organize monthly BINGO at Bethel, and support basketball tournaments and other community causes.

Join in the fun, camaraderie, and philanthropy at this exciting event—players of all skill levels are welcome to partake in the competition.
