Nearly 180,000 of these popular all in one car seats are being recalled due to a choking hazard, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Why the Recall Was Issued

The foam headrest pad can come loose, allowing little ones to break off pieces and potentially put them in their mouths. So far, 13 incidents have been reported, though no injuries have occurred. The manufacturer, Dorel Juvenile Group, is voluntarily recalling the affected models and will provide free replacement kits.

What to Do

You can still safely use your car seat for now but monitor the headrest closely. If foam becomes exposed or damaged, stop using the seat until the fix arrives.
