Weekend Road Trip to Minneapolis
Hey there radio family, It's your girl Mad Max with a weekend recap.
My mom and I drove to Minneapolis to celebrate her sister Jane's 80th birthday. Jane lives in Los Angeles, but my uncle Wally, cousins Suzie and Dale, and their grown kids all live in Minneapolis, so it made the most sense for everyone to gather there.
Celebrating Aunt Jane’s 80th Birthday
On Friday, my uncle Wally and aunt Sharon hosted us all at their house in White Bear Lake for a pizza party. We took a lot of family photos and I made sure to get one with auntie Jane.
Saturday Morning Shenanigans with Friends
Saturday morning, I met up with my friends Gretchen and Beth for breakfast at the Uptown Diner in Minneapolis. As we were walking to the restaurant, I noticed two mannequins in front of a house and suggested we take photos with them.

A Surprise Mannequin Offer
Just then, the homeowners came out and said we could take the mannequins for free if we wanted them. They used to dress them up for kids' Halloween parties, but now the kids were grown, and it was time for the mannequins to find a new home. If only I would've had room in my car, I would've brought them back to North Dakota!
Saturday Night Birthday Bash
Saturday night my cousin Suzie and her husband David hosted a birthday party for Aunt Jane at their house in Plymouth. My brother Luke and nephew Corban drove from Grand Forks to attend. Following a delicious meal, we took a family photo, and after everyone had gone home, Corban and I played with some of David's Lego sets until it was bedtime.
Homeward Bound to Williston
Sunday was Mother’s Day, and Mom and I hit the road back to Williston. We made good time, completing the trip in 9 hours and 15 minutes. It was a nice way to spend the day together, wrapping up a weekend of fun.
Thanks for checking out my pictures. Until next time...
