The Comeback Cowgirl – Amberley Snyder Shares Her Story in Williston, ND

Life can change in an instant, but it’s how you rise that defines you. Williston High School Student Council invites you to hear the incredible journey of Amberley Snyder—barrel racer, motivational speaker, and the real-life inspiration behind the Netflix film Walk, Ride, Rodeo. 

Amberley has been riding horses since she was three years old and competing in rodeos since she was seven. From the moment she made her first run, she was hooked. Rodeo became her passion, and as the years went on, her love for the sport only grew stronger.

By 2009, she was competing at the highest levels, making it to the National High School Finals Rodeo and the National Little Britches Finals. Then, in January 2010, everything changed. On her way to the National Western Stock Show in Colorado, Amberley was involved in a rollover car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down.

Doctors told her she would never regain mobility and that her rodeo career was over, but Amberley refused to accept that. A year and a half later, she figured out a way to ride again, proving that no challenge is too great when you have the heart to push through.

Her story is one of resilience, passion, and determination. Come for an evening that will leave you inspired, motivated, and reminded that anything is possible.
