Mad Max’s Weekend in 5 Pics: 9/22-9/24
It may have been cool and rainy most of the weekend, but I stayed busy with pet sitting and a few fun activities.
Friday, my friend and former co-worker, Emily was in town from Minnesota, so we got to catch up over dinner at Basil's. I enjoyed my favorite dish-beef teriyaki with tempura vegetables and rice. I tried Yum Yum sauce for the first time. I think I liked it.
On Saturday, I was the emcee for the Williston Out of the Darkness Walk. Due to rain, the event was moved from Spring Lake Park to The Well at Williston State College.
It was great to see so many people in attendance raising money and awareness for suicide prevention in North Dakota. Thank you to the Upper Missouri District Health Unit for inviting me to emcee at this important event. It was an honor.
If you or someone you know is having a mental health crisis, call or text 988. You are not alone.
After the Out of the Darkness walk, I checked out a bit of a Coyote soccer game at Williston High School. Then I went to a craft/vendor show at the Williston ARC and picked up some Apple Butter and Apple Jelly from Three Moose Market.
Williston Parks and Recreation held an open skate event on Sunday at the Raymond Family Community Center, so my friend Rochelle and I met up to skate for an hour and a half.or so. Good exercise with a good friend!
See you next weekend. Any suggestions for me?
