Mad Max’s Weekend in 5 Pics 12/15-12/17 2023
The weekend in NW North Dakota was brimming with festive cheer!
On Friday, it was National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Amongst the regular attire, I proudly sported my festive knit, standing out in the best way possible.
Saturday was a bustling day—I dove into Christmas shopping at The Raymond Center's Craft and Vendor Show. Later, I caught my nephew Corban's hockey games, live-streamed on Facebook from Fargo, where despite the tough losses, the team's effort shone brightly.
Between cheering on the games, I squeezed in a weight session at the gym and capped off the evening with the classic combo: pizza and a movie. This time, it was the 2006 remake of "The Omen," featuring Julia Styles and Liev Schreiber.
Sunday began bright and early with a visit to both work and the gym. Then, an engaging afternoon alongside my friends Rochelle and Sean.at the Williston High School Close Up Trivia Fundraiser, supporting the Senior class's fundraising efforts for a trip to Washington D.C. Our team, the "Woodrow Wilson's Misfits," clinched 3rd place among 8 competing teams.
Wrapping up the weekend, my mom and I ventured to Spring Lake Park to check out the Holiday Lights Drive. Year after year, the display impresses, a testament to the dedication of those behind its creation. Then we embarked on a Christmas-themed tour of Williston, reveling in the luminaries and festive decorations for a good hour.
