Did Williston, ND’s Cody Tebo Conquer The Floor or Get Eliminated?
Williston, ND’s Cody Tebo Competed on The Floor—Spoiler Alert- Here’s How It Went!
We recently shared the exciting news that Williston’s Cody Tebo would be competing on The Floor, a high-stakes trivia game show hosted by Rob Lowe on Fox. The game pits 100 contestants against each other on a massive LED floor, where they battle for control of the board—and a grand prize of $250,000.
Cody, an electrician and family man, nearly didn’t apply, but after encouragement from his kids, he took the leap. After multiple interviews and an all-expenses-paid trip to Dublin, Ireland, he was officially in the game.
Season 3 kicked off on Super Bowl Sunday, February 9, and Cody’s episode aired on Wednesday, February 12. Now that his episode has aired, we can share how he did!
In Episode 2 , Cody was chosen by the randomizer and won his first battle in the Female Country Singers category. Looking to expand his territory, he took on an expert in SNL Cast Members, but unfortunately, that challenge ended his run.
Contestants on The Floor test their knowledge in a variety of categories, from pets and gardening to ice cream flavors and ancient history. Cody’s chosen specialty? Sandwich Ingredients—a category he didn’t get the chance to compete in.
After being eliminated, Cody was flown back to the U.S. and, like the rest of us, he doesn’t know how the season plays out. No spoilers here—he’ll be watching from home to see who takes the grand prize!
Would He Have Done Anything Differently? Listen to Mad Max's Exclusive Interview with Cody:

Despite his time on The Floor being short-lived, Cody says the experience was unforgettable:
"Never in a million years did I think I’d be competing on one of the many shows I love to watch. Taking a huge leap, going through interviews and Zoom calls, and then actually being selected—it was amazing. Along with meeting my 99 fellow contestants, I got to know incredible Irish locals, the production crew, and so many others. The friendships I made wouldn’t have happened without this opportunity."
Cody also expressed his appreciation for the support from his hometown of Hillman, MI, his current city of Williston, ND, and friends across the country.
Catch The Floor Wednesdays at 8/7c on Fox to see who takes home the $250K grand prize!
