Honda drivers across North Dakota and Montana, take note—your vehicle may be part of a major recall. According to Fox News, Honda is recalling nearly 295,000 vehicles due to a faulty software issue that can cause the engine to stall or suddenly lose power, increasing the risk of dangerous driving situations.

Honda reports that sudden throttle changes may trigger the check engine light and cause hesitation, stalling, or even a total loss of drive power. As of January 16, no accidents or injuries have been reported, but getting this fix done could prevent a dangerous situation.

The recall affects the following models:
🔹 2023-2025 Honda Pilot SUVs
🔹 2022-2025 Acura MDX Type-S SUVs
🔹 2021-2025 Acura TLX Type-S sedans

If your vehicle is affected, staff at authorized Honda and Acura dealerships will reprogram the FI-ECU with updated software that corrects the issue—at no cost to owners.

What to do next:

Owners of recalled Honda Pilots, Acura MDXs, and Acura TLXs should watch for a recall letter in the mail around mid-March. Once notified, schedule a repair at an authorized dealer as soon as possible. Stay safe on the road, North Dakota and Montana drivers.
