Mad Max’s Weekend in 6 Pics (June 20-22, 2025)

Hello radio family! It was another fun weekend in Williston. In addition to dog sitting, I was able to fit in some local activities.  

Stars of Willison Awards

On Friday a group of us from work attended the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce’s Stars of Williston awards at the Grand Williston Hotel and Conference Center.

Our very own Scott Haugen was nominated for and won the Western Star Award. Quite an honor and achievement. We all had a great time and it was fun getting dressed up!  Congratulations to all of this year's winners! 

Art Fest in the Park

On Saturday, I spent the day at Art Fest 2025 in Recreation Park. The James Memorial Art Center hosts this annual event that features artists, live music, vendors, food, kids activities, cat adoptions & more. I really enjoyed the live performances, the cats, meeting a goat named Baby Blue and all the buzz of creativity in the park.  

A Few Personal Highlights

The best parts of the day were having the highest bid on two paintings in the silent auction and running into my friend and favorite teacher Pat Hagen – she was my Head Start teacher back in the day!
