I have to admit, I'm a bit of a gas station connoisseur.

Being a creature of habit, I tend to go to the same ones over and over. If I have a good experience, I will continue to be a loyal customer. The one gas station in Mandan that I frequent, I know most of their employees by name.  I enjoy my daily conversations and interactions with them.

Gas stations today are so much more than just filling up your tank these days.

The best ones have a draw besides the petro, something they are known for. This could be the hot food they serve.

Maybe they have a big selection of coffees and cappuccinos. A huge selection of soft drinks. Some are known for their breakfast sandwiches, donuts, caramel rolls, and even pizza.

Yep, gas stations today are not your dad's gas station.

Remember those?  Sure, they had employees to pump your gas, and check your oil, but when it came to convenience store items, their selection was extremely limited. A few candy bars and a pop machine.

The website Freebets.com surveyed 2,500 people across America on their favorite gas stations, and North Dakota's favorite isn't even located in the Capital Region.

The Peace Garden State's favorite gas station is none other than Casey's General Store.

Casey's in North Dakota is mostly located on the east side of the state. Fargo especially has a lot of Casey's General Stores. The closest ones you will find to Bismarck Mandan are in Jamestown, Carrington, or New Rockford.

Casey's General Stores are known for their delicious PIZZA. I can vouch for this, as it is very good, especially their breakfast pizza. So much better than the Hot Stuff pizza's you will find at numerous gas stations across the state.

Our surrounding states agree with North Dakota regarding favorite gas stations.

Minnesota and South Dakota's favorite is also Casey's. Montana's is Cumberland Farms (never heard of?).
