“Hot Enough For Ya?” – YES It was A Record Day In Bismarck

Don't you just love that expression, "Hot enough for ya?" 

Seems like there is always someone who comes up to you, while you are gasping for air in the summer heat and says with a goofy look, "Hot enough for you?" - I actually thought about this last week when, on July 23rd, it actually was National "Hot enough for ya?" day! It is in honor of all those who love to complain when the summer days are in full swing, like right now for instance.

So how hot did it get this past weekend here in Bismarck and Mandan? 

One thing I wanted to add.  Anytime you even try to gripe about the scalding temps, someone WILL always come around and say something like this:  "You think this is hot? You should have been here back in 1929 when it was 106 degrees." WELL, yesterday, Sunday, July 27th, 2026, was ONE degree hotter as it set a new record ( sorry I wasn't busy celebrating this, as I was at home hugging my air conditioner ) - was it the hottest day on record here in BisMan?

I'm going to make this absolutely clear, if you haven't figured it out already, I HATE the heat, it's absolutely miserable. YES I'm from San Diego, but the fact is that it gets HOTTER out here as the sun goes down. Did we ( Bismarck ) break a record over the weekend? Came close enough, back in 1936, July 6th, the high reached 117!
