Homeless Man & His Dog-Bismarck Community Refuses to Look Away
Almost every day, we see someone out on the streets holding a sign, looking for a little help
On the corner of a busy street corner, I saw an older man with some of his belongings at his feet, holding a sign, looking for some help $. Whether you have rolled down your window in the past and have donated a buck or two, it's pretty comforting to know that Bismarck/Mandan cares about others. Do I have any proof of what I just said? Yes,
A beautiful anonymous post around noon today on the Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook Page
Let me share this with you:
"There is a homeless man that sleeps on the benches near the court house and sometimes by the civic center. He has the cutest little dog that you can tell gets taken care of very well. I’ve been buying him blankets jackets and food for the last few years whenever i see him. I hate seeing him sleep out in the cold though. I was wondering if anyone had ideas of how I could help him get back on his feet? I’m not sure of what services we have here in town that help people in his situation. I would like to help him find housing and a job if he’s able to work. He is very kind and grateful for everything. I’ve never seen him intoxicated, i’ve never seen him begging for money he really just minds his business and bothers no one. I’m not sure of his story but i’d really like everyone input on what I could do to help him or where he could go to get help. Thank youu!!!"
