Almost every day, we see someone out on the streets holding a sign, looking for a little help

On the corner of a busy street corner, I saw an older man with some of his belongings at his feet, holding a sign, looking for some help $. Whether you have rolled down your window in the past and have donated a buck or two, it's pretty comforting to know that Bismarck/Mandan cares about others. Do I have any proof of what I just said? Yes,

A beautiful anonymous post around noon today on the Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook Page

Let me share this with you:

"There is a homeless man that sleeps on the benches near the court house and sometimes by the civic center. He has the cutest little dog that you can tell gets taken care of very well. I’ve been buying him blankets jackets and food for the last few years whenever i see him. I hate seeing him sleep out in the cold though. I was wondering if anyone had ideas of how I could help him get back on his feet? I’m not sure of what services we have here in town that help people in his situation. I would like to help him find housing and a job if he’s able to work. He is very kind and grateful for everything. I’ve never seen him intoxicated, i’ve never seen him begging for money he really just minds his business and bothers no one. I’m not sure of his story but i’d really like everyone input on what I could do to help him or where he could go to get help. Thank youu!!!"

"Bless you heart. My son got the cutie puppy food once along with hot coffee money. He is a very humble man. I hope you find resources for him"

Thank you all for your suggestions and help. I’m working right now, when I am off work I am going to see if i can find him downtown somewhere and see what things he needs and what not. I tried finding him last night again to get him a hotel room for a few days but couldn’t. I’d really like to help him as no one should have to struggle like this and from what i’ve seen he’s been on the streets for about 6 years now. If anyone else has helped someone out and possibly started a go fund me plz comment under this and i’ll send you a private message I’m not sure how to go about starting a go fund me or really anything like that. All help is greatly appreciated
