The Williston community is getting ready to celebrate a championship season in a big way as the Williston Coyotes Softball Team prepares to finally receive their well-earned state championship rings.
With the weather and chilly temps finally moving out of the area, a special ring ceremony that was scheduled for a couple of weeks ago will now take place on Thursday, April 16th, following the varsity softball matchup against Legacy. The game will be at Leininger Field on the campus of Williston State College. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m., with the ceremony expected to begin around 8:30 p.m.

This special evening will honor the 2025 State Champion Coyotes softball team as players and coaches are presented with their championship rings—symbols of a season defined by hard work, resilience, and unforgettable moments on the field. Fans, families, and community members are encouraged to attend both the game and the ceremony to help recognize the team’s incredible achievement.
