The Competition Is Underway: North Dakota’s Emma Tong and Addison Pringle Take the Stage
Two North Dakota representatives are officially in Florida, and there is plenty of excitement building as they prepare to take the national stage.
Miss North Dakota Emma Tong and Miss North Dakota’s Teen Addison Pringle have made their way to West Palm Beach, Florida, for the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen competitions. The competition officially got underway on Sunday with private interviews, marking the beginning of what promises to be a busy and exciting week for both contestants.
For people here in western North Dakota, there is an extra reason to follow along. Emma is a 2022 graduate of Williston High School, giving the community a hometown connection to the Miss America competition.
Addison is representing North Dakota in the teen competition. She is from Surrey and is currently a junior at Surrey High School.
A Big Week Ahead in Florida
With private interviews now underway, the contestants will continue through several events and competitions as they work toward the final stages of the national competitions.
There is sure to be plenty of excitement as Emma and Addison represent North Dakota on a national stage. Friends, family, classmates, and supporters back home will have several opportunities to watch the action unfold.

For Emma, this is another big moment in what has already been an impressive journey since graduating from Williston High School. For Addison, it is an opportunity to represent Surrey and North Dakota while competing alongside some of the country’s top young pageant contestants.
The spotlight is now on West Palm Beach, but there will undoubtedly be plenty of people back home watching, cheering and hoping to see two North Dakota representatives have a week to remember.
