North Dakota Voters Needed: Help Name the Highway Patrol’s New Pup
North Dakota, prepare your hearts (and your noses), because the North Dakota Highway Patrol is welcoming a brand-new bloodhound to the team this February, and this pup is already a big deal.

This isn’t a “we picked the first floppy-eared dog we saw” situation. Oh no. This bloodhound has been dreamed of. He’s been sought after. Hours upon hours of videos were watched to find the perfect match for the Trooper he’ll work with, and for the Trooper’s family, too.
Basically, this dog went through a casting call worthy of reality TV, and trust us… he was worth the wait.
Soon, this four-legged crime-fighter will be stationed in Fargo, where he’ll put that legendary bloodhound nose to work sniffing out trails and helping keep North Dakotans safe. But before he officially reports for duty, there’s one very important task left on the checklist: he needs a name.
And that’s where you come in.
The pup’s new family has narrowed it down to four solid contenders: Beau, Oslo, Mack, or Leo. Each one has its own vibe. Beau feels classic and charming. Oslo gives off cool, international flair. Mack sounds strong and dependable, like a dog who means business. And Leo? Well, that one just screams confident good boy energy.

So take a moment, cast your vote, and stay tuned. This pup is about to steal some hearts, sniff some trails, and become Fargo’s most beloved new coworker.
