
FAA Has Awarded Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars To XWA
The City of Williston is set to receive a substantial boost in funding for its airport, thanks to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The FAA announced the allocation of $4,649,795 through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to support various projects at several airports across North Dakota.
Williston will benefit from $722,627 of this total, which will be directed towards enhancing the city’s airport infrastructure.
The funding distribution is as follows:
- $2,231,738 to the state of North Dakota for the completion of runway construction and rehabilitation in Dunseith.
- $722,627 to the City of Williston.
- $365,573 to the Grafton Municipal Airport Authority.
- $365,573 to the Kenmare Airport Authority.
- $365,573 to the Linton Municipal Airport Authority.
- $300,000 to the City of Minot.
- $117,318 to the Ashley Municipal Airport Authority.
- $91,393 to the Tioga Municipal Airport Authority.
- $90,000 to the Wahpeton Airport Authority.
