Still Looking for Saturday Night Plans? Darryl Worley Is Playing in Stanley
If you enjoy good country music, familiar hits and a chance to see a nationally known artist up close, there's something special happening in Stanley tomorrow night!
Country singer Darryl Worley is bringing his music to the Sibyl Center on Saturday, October 24, with the show getting underway at 7 p.m. There are still a few seats available, and with the center seating around 200 people, this could be a fun evening for country music fans looking for a more intimate concert experience.

A Night of Familiar Country Favorites
Worley is known for hit songs like “I Miss My Friend,” “Awful, Beautiful Life” and “Have You Forgotten?” His music has long connected with listeners through its down-to-earth storytelling, traditional country roots and themes that speak to everyday Americans.
“Have You Forgotten?” became one of the biggest songs of his career, spending seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard country singles chart. Inspired by a USO trip to Kuwait and Afghanistan during the Christmas season of 2002, the song reflected Worley's experience meeting American service members and recognizing their sacrifices.
But there's more to Worley than those familiar hits. His music also draws from the soulful sounds of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where he got his start, giving his country sound another layer of personality.

More Than Just the Music
Throughout his career, Worley has made service and community important parts of his work. He's participated in more than 15 USO tours and established the Tennessee River Run, an annual event that raises money for local charities and supports the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center in Tennessee.
His career has included plenty of success, but Worley has also made family a priority, taking time away from recording to focus on raising his daughter.
