Well, hello again radio family. It was another fantastic weekend in northwest North Dakota. Let me tell you a little bit about what I did.
Friday Night Fun in New Town
Friday night I met my friend Tracy at the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band concert at Four Bears Casino in New Town. NItty Gritty is on their farewell tour, so this was their last show in North Dakota. It was my first time seeing them and I was excited to hear the songs "Mr. Bojangles" and "An American Dream." The crowd loved singing along to their biggest hit, "Fishing in the Dark."
Saturday Afternoon: Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Saturday afternoon I went to the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event at the Raymond Center. It was fun to watch people walking in high heels for a great cause; the Family Crisis Shelter in Williston. The speeches that were delivered were what truly moved me. READ MORE: Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Returns to Williston, ND

Saturday Night: Casino Night at Williston State College
Saturday evening I attended Casino Night at Williston State College with my co-workers Mike, Scott, Sam and Barb. The Teton Booster club hosts the annual fundraiser for the school's athletics department. It was my first time going, and I enjoyed the night. There was a lot of delicious food, and it was a blast playing casino games like craps, roulette and blackjack. READ MORE: Don't Miss Teton Athletics Casino Night For A Great Cause
Sunday Experiment: Peeps and Hot Dogs
Sunday, I conducted one last Peeps experiment for the year. In the past month, I have used Peeps to make rice krispie treats and put them on top of a pizza. Recently, I read about using them as a bun for a hot dog. I used my George Foreman to grill an Oscar Meyer cheese dog, and then placed it on top of purple bunny Peeps. The hot dog thing was better than I thought, but I'd have to say Peeps on pizza is better.
Thanks for checking out my photos! Until next time...
