Montanans seem to have reached their limit with holiday movie marathons. The endless cycle of the same Christmas classics year after year has folks in Big Sky Country feeling less than jolly about their festive viewing options.

The stats tell the story: over a quarter (26%) of Montanans say they’ve had enough of Home Alone, while 24% can’t stand to watch A Christmas Story one more time. Even Elf, a modern favorite, is falling out of favor—19% are ready to toss it aside.

What’s the problem? It’s the predictability. A third of Montanans (34%) say they’re tired of the same old holiday reruns filling the airwaves, and 28% have grown weary of repetitive, over-the-top festive plots.

Instead of yet another rewatch of The Polar Express or It’s a Wonderful Life, Montanans are craving something different. Something that breaks free from the formulaic cheer and offers a holiday experience that doesn’t feel like déjà vu.
