Bikers in Williston, ND Unite to Support Veterans and First Responders
Williston's American Legion Post 37 and Connect Us Foundation are hosting a Suicide Awareness Fun Run on Saturday, September 14, 2024, as a way to raise funds for veteran and first responder mental health support.
The event will begin at 8 AM with registration at the Williston American Legion, located at 115 1st Ave East. The fun run itself will kick off at 10 AM, taking participants on a scenic route through the local area.
The route will include stops at the Rig Lounge in Tioga, Beach Bar in Stanley, New Town Legion, and Watford City Legion before returning to the Williston Legion.
To participate, there is a fee of $30 per bike and $20 per passenger. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Connect US Therapy, a nonprofit organization that provides mental health services to veterans and first responders in need.
Following the fun run, American Legion Post 37 will host a free-will donation walleye dinner. This event will feature delicious food, live entertainment, cold drinks, and a chance for attendees to socialize and connect with others in the community.
