'Whisker Wednesday' on Dakota Country 96.1 highlights an adorable feline, ready to find its forever home.

I'd like to tell you about ARRR Rescue's Cat of the Week - Jasmine.

Jasmine is a beautiful little tortoiseshell cat with a cute half-mustache. She was rescued from a warehouse where she faced the threat of being poisoned. While most of the cats from that situation are being adopted as shop and barn cats, Jasmine is too friendly for barn life.

She's very sociable, gets along well with other cats, and doesn't mind dogs. Jasmine is playful, loves her toys, and is incredibly affectionate—she follows the crew around, seeking their attention as they work. She's also a "scooper," meaning you can easily scoop her up for extra cuddles.

In addition to being a cat rescue, ARRR is also a Farm Animal Sanctuary. ARRR is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, deeply grateful for any community donations and support.  For those willing to contribute, there's a donation box dedicated to the cats at Tractor Supply in Williston.

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state

Because the regulation of exotic animals is left to states, some organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States, advocate for federal, standardized legislation that would ban owning large cats, bears, primates, and large poisonous snakes as pets.

Read on to see which pets are banned in your home state, as well as across the nation.
