Snap and Win: Enter the North Dakota’s Governor’s Photo Contest
Governor Doug Burgum and the North Dakota Department of Commerce Tourism and Marketing Division are teaming up with AAA of North Dakota and the North Dakota Council on the Arts for the 2023 North Dakota Governor’s Photo Contest for Travel and Tourism.
This contest is all about showcasing North Dakotans' talents and showing off our awesome state as a go-to spot all year long.
And guess what? You can send in your photos right now, and the deadline is Jan. 31, 2024.
This time around, the spotlight's on the four seasons. Yep, you've got Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter as the categories. Plus, they've made it super easy for you to submit your pics—now you can enter via Instagram or straight-up online upload.
Winners in each category snag $200 cash, recognizing their awesome photography skills. And there might even be some honorable mentions, netting photographers 50 bucks and some cool North Dakota gear.
The cream of the crop—the "Best of Show" photo—grabs an extra $300 cash prize and a free AAA membership for a year. And the perks don't stop there. Winning photos might get featured in North Dakota Tourism's newsletters, social media, and even in AAA publications and social channels.
These winning shots are gonna be displayed at the State Capitol's 18th floor from April to May 2024, thanks to the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
This photo contest's come a long way since its start in 2004. From over 300 submissions in the first year to a whopping 17,300+ photos sent in over the years—talk about growth!
